Frog It, Fix It

Project: lace scarf/stole
Pattern: 8 repeats of "Field of Wheat," from A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns, by Barbara G. Walker
Yarn: 1 skein Lorna's Laces "Helen's Lace," 50% silk, 50% wool,
1250 yards
Color: #64 gold hill
Needle: size 3
Gauge: 7 stitches per inch
Cast on 100 stitches; 6 stitches on each side form a garter stitch border

This has been my "default project," something I work on only when I have no new (and more exciting) knitting project. But as time has passed, and I get ever closer to the end of the skein, I have knit 5 feet of scarf. I am almost done, and I will be very happy to get to the bind-off row and block it out. I do love this yarn, but not particularly the hand-dyed color (the yarn was a gift). The pattern itself is fun to knit.

the picture below shows a more realistic color:

Even it it's unblocked state you can see that there are undulating waves of 'wheat' with a little bobble at each wheat tip. I have been very careful to keep count and watch for mistakes, but I discovered that I dropped two stitches when I reached that point and it was where I had to make a bobble.

This is what the wheat/bobble should look like:

And below on the right is what the mistake looks like, after I took a crochet needle to the two dropped stitches, brought them back up to the live-stitch row, then made the bobble.
Yeah, it looks bad. I thought maybe I could get away with leaving it as it is, but this row will be very close to the bottom edge, and I know it will be visible. So I will carefully rip back to the row where I found the dropped stitch, and correct the mistake.
